Of square section, the four sides with slightly recessed shaped panels brightly painted in a rich underglaze blue with flowers representing the four seasons: peony (spring), lotus (summer), chrysanthemum (autumn) and prunus blossom (winter) divided at the corners by four elongated slightly recessed panels of single slender stems, reserved against a dense swastika diaper ground, the shoulders with two bands of overlapping petals moulded in relief, the neck and foot with smaller panels of flowers, the covers with similar panels of flowers and petal bands surmounted by a knop formed of moulded lotus petals.
