Of round form with foliate rim, decorated in shades of underglaze blue, the well painted in sprays of chrysanthemum, lotus, prunus and peony, set within a border of eight lotus petal panels, each enclosing an individual flower, reserved against a `cracked ice' ground, the underside of the rim painted with auspicious emblems including chimes, the base glazed, and with a six character mark reading 'Precious object of rare jade among treasured vessels'.
